Russian Tea Cakes

Grammy Alyce Liptock's recipe. I can remember making these with her every Christmas and I carried the tradition on with my sons.

• 1 c.
  Butter
• 1/2 c.
  Sifted confectioner's sugar
• 1 tsp.
  Vanilla
• 2 1/4 c.
  Sifted flour
• 1/4 tsp.
  Salt
• 3/4 c.
  Finely chopped nuts

Mix butter, sugar & vanilla through. Stir flour & salt together. Blend 1/3 of the flour into butter mixture. With hands, work in remaining flour & nuts in 2 parts until dough holds together. Form dough into 1 in. balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet & bake at 400° for 10-12 mins. While warm, roll in confectioners sugar. Cool & roll again.
